Virginia Community Health Improvement Data Portal
Welcome to the Virginia Community Health Improvement Data Portal! The Virginia Department of Health, in partnership with University of Missouri Extension CARES, launched this tool in September 2022. The portal is made up of the Health Assessment Tool and the Map Room. The portal will improve access to up-to-date, state-level health data; support robust community health assessments; and support the alignment of health priorities across public and private health systems in Virginia. The Health Assessment Tool features data on over 100 indicators from national, state, and local sources such as the Virginia Department of Health, Virginia Health Information, Virginia Vital Statistics, American Community Survey, and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention. The Map Room provides an interactive mapping environment with access to more than 30,000 mappable data layers.
